Our company’s Mannheim/Germany plant was the first worldwide to receive in 2022 the stringent UBA approval according to KTW-BWGL. This approval for our A-KT 70-00, A-KT 80-00, and A-KT 90-00 grades encompasses a multitude of requirements for rubber quality regarding:

  • raw materials used,
  • migration values into water, and
  • microbiological behavior in water.

The certifications of our materials are a significant contribution to clean and safe drinking water. They guarantee that our company’s products meet all hygienic requirements, ensuring that no pathogens, toxicological substances, or contaminants enter the drinking water. The taste and odor of the drinking water are also preserved.

Depending on the application, our KTW-BWGL certified rubber compounds, sheeting, and plate materials for drinking water are additionally certified according to international standards such as WRAS, ÖNorm, or ACS, or meet the requirements of the American food regulation FDA 21§177.2600. They are thus also suitable for products intended for export to European and non-European countries.
